Expansion takes the listener from acoustic sound into an electroacoustic world. It begins with an expressive saxophone solo, with electronics gradually entering — first mimicking the soloist, then growing into a flowing accompaniment. Over time, the texture broadens and eventually surrounds the saxophone in a shimmering electronic soundscape.

The piece was composed to create a natural interaction between the saxophonist and electronics, allowing the performer to trigger pre-recorded sounds freely rather than follow a strict click track. This approach gives the soloist greater expressive freedom and spontaneity in performance.
